Krempel develops and manufactures customised composite solutions for ballistic and civil protection applications. By combining a wide range of ballistic fibres and matrix systems, we create lightweight, robust and high-performance solutions tailored to specific protection requirements.
Our extensive manufacturing capabilities – including coating, pressing, autoclave processing, CNC machining, waterjet cutting and laminating – enable the production of sophisticated protection components. These are used in military and civilian land vehicles (land systems), in aircraft (air systems), in maritime applications (marine systems), in personal protective equipment, and in the protection of machinery, buildings and critical infrastructure (military equipment).
Mechanical and ballistic testing conducted with specialised partners ensure the reliable performance of our solutions. We work in accordance with relevant requirements and standards such as VPAM and STANAG, while meeting stringent quality requirements throughout production.
Ballistic tests
We set standards and attach great importance to the reliability and quality of our products. The ballistic tests carried out with our partners are at the heart of these endeavours and ensure that our products meet the highest standards.
Our certified tests and inspections follow the strict regulations of VPAM and Stanag. By precisely simulating real-life conditions, we test materials for vehicles, helmets, vests, etc. for their performance under extreme ballistic loads. In doing so, we ensure that every component fulfils the highest requirements. Close cooperation with manufacturers of ballistic fibres also guarantees optimum use and reliable delivery capability.
